For most students, an unweighted high school GPA is used to determine placement in these courses:
Previous work at another college and scores from high school equivalency tests or standardized tests, such as the SAT or the ACT, also can be used to determine course placement. Be sure to submit any test scores you have.
ENG 111 (Writing and Inquiry) for English and MAT 110 (Mathematical Measurement and Literacy), MAT 121 (Algebra/Trigonometry I), MAT 143 (Quantitative Literacy), MAT 152 (Statistical Methods I) and MAT 171 (Precalculus Algebra) for math.

ENG 011 (with ENG 111), MAT 010 (with MAT 110), MAT 021 (with MAT 121), MAT 043 (with MAT 143), MAT 052 (with MAT 152) and MAT 071 (with MAT 171).
When registering for classes, you must sign up for both the college-level course and its corresponding co-requisite, which is designed to reinforce the material and support you in the college-level course.

ENG 002 and MAT 003
A semester-long transition course is designed to help you strengthen your English and math skills before you move on to take college-level courses. There are no prerequisites to register.
